The story behind every stitch
My love of making began with clothes for dolls, stitched on a vintage sewing machine with a turn handle — there was no way Mum was letting us anywhere near her electric, computerised machines. That early resourcefulness grew into a lifelong language of craft. I’m a knitter, crocheter and jewellery maker too; textiles and creating are woven into my DNA.
I went on to study City & Guilds in Textiles and Jewellery Making, alongside Visual and Performing Arts at university. Today, I bring that same curiosity and care to every Big Bag Maker piece, transforming vibrant African wax print fabrics into distinctive, beautifully made bags in London.
